Trivia[]

  • The group's mascot is a plush animal named Upagi (うぱぎ) belonging to Yagi Saki. Upagi is described as "the child of an axolotl father and a rabbit mother" and its birthday is June 11, 1993. Upagi also has its own Twitter and its own Instagram. A solo song by Yagi Saki from Upagi's perspective was included on the group's first album.
  • Former member Sayaka coined their group name "Lovelys!!!!". "Lovely" is derived from the group's former manager as a 4-member unit, Aino Masumi, while the number of exclamation marks correlated with the number of members at the time.[32]
  • Lovelys actually celebrates the anniversary of when they rebranded from Lovelys!!!! to Lovelys in November 2016 as opposed to celebrating the anniversary of when Lovelys was first formed as Lovelys!!!! in 2013, or the anniversary of when they became a duo act in May 2016.
  • In 2019, Lovelys revealed that in order to save costs, Yagi Saki is in charge of video editing and Miyazaki Rio is in charge of audio editing for their content. The duo self-produces their lives, costumes, goods, and more.[33]
