Suzuki Keita (鈴木啓太) is a Japanese comedian and the tsukkomi (straight man) of the comedy duo Joujou Gundan with Sawayaka Goro.

In addition to their stand-up, he and Sawayaka Goro often work together or individually as MCs for UP-FRONT or Hello! Project related events.

Suzuki Keita was born on May 14, 1982 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan.

While attending Kanagawa Prefecture Sumiyoshi High School, Suzuki, Sawayaka Goro (whose real name is Okami Tokihide), and six other members from the soccer club formed a comedy group named "Okami Gundan" whenever there was a school festival.[1] In their third year, the rest of their classmates left the group one by one with only Sawayaka and Suzuki remaining.[2]

In April 2003, he and Sawayaka formed the comedy duo Joujou Gundan. They eventually joined UP-FRONT AGENCY; transferring to J.P. ROOM in 2012, and then to UP-FRONT CREATE in 2013.

For his 35th birthday, Suzuki decided to hold his first idol-style event on May 9, 2017.[3] Kanazawa Tomoko was the MC and Miyamoto Karin was a guest. Sawayaka Goro and Takahashi Ai also made a surprise appearance.[4]

Personal LifeEdit

On December 12, 2012, Suzuki got married.[5] On October 25, 2014, his wife gave birth to their first son[6][7] who is nicknamed Roku-kun.[8]
